To keep up with the dramatic increase in market share over the last 18 years in the Permian Basin, a region that has become the cornerstone of our success, Jacam Catalyst has purchased numerous tracts of land in Gardendale, TX and added operational space. With this additional land, we provide a greater capacity for manufacturing, laboratory support, and general operational support for over 650 employees in the Permian Basin, and over 1,200 employees in the United States.
Our Gardendale distribution center expansion now features an additional 18,000-square-feet of operating facilities including 16 offices and a large conference room enabling Jacam Catalyst to accelerate distribution fleet operations. Earlier this year, we announced plans to add 16 acres of land and the newly opened 18,000-square-feet of operation facilities, bringing the total campus acreage to 65 acres and square footage to 90,000-square-feet of operation facilities.
In January 2024, we took another significant step forward by expanding our Sterling, KS location. The new chemical reaction system includes proprietary temperature control, distillation and agitation systems that make the phosphonate reaction more efficient and provide incredibly high-quality products. The additional equipment consists of a 2,000-gallon glass-lined reactor, condenser, heat exchanger, magnetically driven pump and more, all connected by Teflon-lined piping. The materials of construction for each piece of equipment were custom designed to withstand the harsh conditions of high temperature and low pH. Engineered by Jacam Catalyst's in-house chemical experts and assembled by their fabrication team, the system successfully underwent startup testing in August. The scale-up to full production added a production capacity of 400,000 pounds per month
Our success is driven by the dedication and expertise of our employees. Our nimble approach allows us to meet the needs of our customers and continue providing them with best-in-class service and products for their chemical needs.
